Recently, the technical team of Jiangsu Believe Automation Technology Co., Ltd. successfully completed a challenging high-temperature screw conveyor shaft end sealing project in a large production enterprise. The project adopted Believe's independently developed innovative air-cooled rotary shaft seal solution, which effectively solved the long-term high-temperature material conveying sealing problem faced by customers.


1.Innovative technology overcomes high-temperature sealing challenges
The screw conveyor has been conveying high-temperature materials for a long time, and the service life of traditional seals is less than 3 months. After in-depth research, the technical team of Believe proposed a triple innovative solution:
1.1 Active air cooling system
Using compressed air circulation cooling technology and built-in spiral airflow channel design to ensure that the temperature of the sealing part is stable below 37°C
1.2. Dynamic compensation mechanism:
The original radial runout compensation design can adapt to shaft runout within 2mm and synchronously rotate the main shaft to achieve wear-free sealing
1.3. Quick maintenance design
Patented split modular structure, supports 30-minute online replacement, no need to disassemble reducer and other related equipment, and improves maintenance efficiency by 80%
"High temperature conditions have extremely high requirements for the stability of the seal. The air cooling solution can effectively control the temperature of the sealing part and avoid seal failure." Zuo Gong, the technical leader of the project, introduced on site.
2. Precise installation: step-by-step construction to ensure sealing reliability
Since the conveyor main shaft and support seat have not been completely fixed, the installation team adopts a step-by-step operation method to ensure the correct installation of the shaft seal:




3. Customer acceptance: high standard performance test
Start the reducer to run idling and monitor the shaft seal temperature and leakage. After running for 2 hours, the temperature of the sealing part stabilized at 37°C (normal temperature), which is much lower than the material temperature, verifying the cooling effect.
The customer's technical team participated in the debugging throughout the process, focusing on the following indicators:
1. Temperature rise control: After long-term operation, the temperature of the sealing part remained stable and no heat accumulation occurred.
2. Vibration and noise: The shaft seal runs smoothly without abnormal vibration or friction noise.
