I. Models:

1. BL-80-D, 2. BL-80-DJ, 3. BL-80-DL, 4. BL-80-DJL. BL represents the rotary shaft seal manufactured by Believe, and 80 is the shaft diameter. For example, if the shaft diameter is 80, the model should be BL-80-D. The suffixes D, DJ, DL, and DJL indicate the sealing structure type.

II. Structural Differences:

1. BL-80-D

BL-80-D is the basic rotary shaft seal manufactured by Believe. In the diagram, the rotating ring, clamp, and rubber ring are separate components, while the end cover and base are an integral structure. The BL-80-D model consists of a base, rotating ring, rubber ring, clamp, and end cover. The two separate rotating rings are wear parts. Later replacement and maintenance kits can replace these wear parts (including the two rotating rings, clamp, and rubber ring) without disassembling the reducer and bearings. This model features a stationary ring as the housing, with the rotating ring rubbing against it. The rotating ring is made of a soft material, while the stationary ring is made of metal (the stationary ring surface is DLC-treated, with a finish of 0.1-0.2 and a hardness of 3000-3500HV). Under reasonable operating conditions, the rotating ring should be replaced approximately once a year, while the housing should be replaced after 4-5 years (replacing the housing requires disassembling and reassembling the reducer and bearings).

2. BL-80-DJ

The BL-80-DJ is a rotary shaft seal manufactured by Believe, featuring replaceable rotating and stationary rings. In the diagram, the rotating ring, stationary ring, end cap, clamp, and rubber ring are separate components, while the base is a single unit. The separate end cap is primarily for easy replacement of the rotating ring on the outer side. The BL-80-DJ model consists of a base, rotating ring, stationary ring, rubber ring, clamp, and end cap. The two separate rotating rings are the first wear parts, and the two stationary rings are the later wear parts. The replacement and repair kit allows for the replacement of easily worn parts (including two rotating rings, two stationary rings, clamps, and rubber rings) without disassembling the reducer and bearings. The stationary rings are also separate, detachable units. The rotating rings are made of soft material, while the stationary rings are made of hard material. The rotating rings wear out first due to friction, while the stationary rings are made of metal (the stationary ring surface is DLC-treated, with a surface finish of 0.1-0.2 and a hardness of 3000-3500 HV). Under reasonable operating conditions, the rotating rings should be replaced approximately once a year, while the stationary rings should be replaced after 4-5 years (again, without disassembling the reducer and bearings).

3. BL-80-DL/BL-80-DJL

BL-80-DL/BL-80-DJL are based on BL-80-D and BL-80-DJ, respectively, with double-end cooling channels to effectively reduce the temperature of the friction surfaces, thus ensuring service life. The cooled version is designed to handle more complex operating conditions.

III. Applicable Operating Conditions

BL-80-D and BL-80-DJ are low-speed seals, used at specific speeds and temperatures. These two models operate at speeds of 0-80 rpm, with normal temperature and pressure. Because they utilize dry friction, higher speeds result in higher temperatures, which in turn have a greater impact on the internal rotating ring, reducing its service life.

BL-80-DL and BL-80-DJL can be used in low-speed, complex operating conditions. For equipment with heating, materials with temperature, and speeds below 200 rpm, cooling seals are recommended. They can be used when shaft end heating does not exceed 200 degrees Celsius and material temperatures are below 300 degrees Celsius. For the seal's cooling source, chilled water is recommended for high temperatures; circulating water can be used for temperatures around 100 degrees Celsius.

IV. Applicable Equipment

1. Low-speed horizontal mixing equipment; 2. Screw conveyor; 3. Vertical mixing equipment; 4. Equipment with a rotating shaft exiting from one side wall panel at low speed.
